Our Vision

We envision Strathmore Square as a place for everyone: a place to experience the arts at Strathmore, a place to relax, a place to connect to the community, a place to enjoy upscale living. Today, the Grosvenor-Strathmore Metro area has no established center, few connections to the existing community, little visibility along Rockville Pike and no sense of place. We plan to change that.

A place to live.

Our vision is to create an upscale residential community atop the Grosvenor-Strathmore Metro Station that features a mix of housing types, architecture and heights. We plan to build mid-rise buildings on Tuckerman Lane across from an existing community and step up the building heights along Rockville Pike.

A place to relax and connect with friends.

Our vision is to create a public place in the heart of Strathmore Square where neighbors and commuters can relax and connect with friends. Our plan includes a 1.25 acre civic park.

A place to connect the community.

Our vision is to improve access to Metro and the surrounding community by providing a pleasant experience walking between Strathmore Square and the Grosvenor-Strathmore Metro Station. 

An innovative place to connect with local vendors.

Our vision for the Strathmore Square community includes small incubator businesses, small local retailers, incorporated into and made part of Strathmore Square to serve the local residents and commuters.

A place to connect the arts.

Our partnership with Strathmore will bring an arts presence into the Strathmore Square community. From the arts walk to the potential for open-air, public art, performances and sculpture, ground-floor classroom space for artists and musicians, Strathmore Square will incorporate the arts throughout.

About the Site

The site features approximately 8 acres of potential developable land, as well as land reserved to expand the parking garage. The site is located atop the Grosvenor-Strathmore Metro Station and is bordered by Tuckerman Lane and Route 355.
